I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
